Poets and Writers - - Grants & Awards - GRE­GORY O’DONOGHUE IN­TER­NA­TIONAL PO­ETRY PRIZE

A prize of €1,000 (ap­prox­i­mately $1,200), pub­li­ca­tion in South­word, and a week­long res­i­dency at the Tyrone Guthrie Cen­tre in An­nagh­mak­er­rig, Ire­land, is given an­nu­ally for a poem. The win­ner also re­ceives up to €600 (ap­prox­i­mately $700) in travel ex­penses, as well as lodg­ing and meals, to give a read­ing at the Cork In­ter­na­tional Po­etry Fes­ti­val in Cork, Ire­land, in Fe­bru­ary 2018. Pa­trick Cot­ter will judge. Sub­mit a poem of up to 40 lines with a €5 (ap­prox­i­mately $6) en­try fee or five po­ems of up to 40 lines each with a €20 (ap­prox­i­mately $24) en­try fee by Novem­ber 30.
