SPORTS SPOTLIGHT

The Misfits Wrestling Club sent two wrestlers to compete in the USA Wrestling Western Regionals in Pocatello, Idaho last week. Over three days the wrestlers competed in three styles of wrestling, Freestyle, Greco Roman and Folkstyle. Wanderlei Whittington competed in the Novice 85 pound division where he placed third in Freestyle and third in Greco Roman. His teammate Jacob Perez competed in the Novice 80 pound division where he finished second in Freestyle and second in Folkstyle. The two wrestlers both qualified for the USA Wrestling Nationals in Atlanta, Ga. The Misfits Wrestling Club is coached by Marcos Benevidez.
