IT’S A SNAP
This September, during PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease) Awareness Month, the Sierra View Medical Center Wound Healing Department, pictured, is asking physicians, clinicians, and staff across the country to participate in The Save a Leg, Save a Life (SALSAL) Foundation's White Sock Campaign. The goal is to raise awareness of PAD and early detection through one simple tool: a white sock. The white sock symbolizes the many patients with late-stage PAD who have had an amputation due to delayed treatment.
It's a Snap runs periodically in The Porterville Recorder. Readers are encouraged to drop off pictures at the newspaper, 115 E. Oak Ave., or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org. Pictures of significant events are welcome. For more information, contact The Recorder at 784-5000, Ext. 1043.
