Executive Editor Capt. Bill Pike
got onboard the famous Knit Wits, a ’60s-era Hatteras that was arguably the very first all-fiberglass boat of any size ever built. Although the old girl slid down the ways many moons ago, Pike gave her the ol’ college wringout just recently. “It was totally cool,” enthused Pike, who managed to climb behind the wheel (with gusto) in the palm-shaded environs of Ft. Lauderdale.
