Ahh, The Good Ol’ Days
The Afterword column in May issue really jolted my memory banks. I actually met Pierre Pierce at Miami’s Crandon Park Marina in the mid ’70s.
At that time he owned and chartered a 25-foot P&D named Floridays, which sported the famous canvas cuddy enclosure.
We saw each other a few times after that but eventually we lost contact with him. Though I do remember him saying that he and his wife were leaving for their annual Bahamas charter out of Freeport, Grand Bahamas.
It was good to read about what became of him and I’m glad that Power & Motoryacht pays homage to the gun-slinging days of the ’80s.
