Emails from readers have been pouring in for our Favorite Destination Contest, and the chance to win an inflatable Aris kayak. Here’s a tease of locations that have received favorable reviews:

My favorite boating destination is the Island of Capri in the Mediterranean. The island is naturally attractive, especially the rocks on the southern side of the island. Marina Piccola is quite an anchorage alongside the most impressive superyachts! As a destination, the island is home to fine dining and cafés. There are plenty of elegant boutiques to visit too.

Beautiful, friendly, with modern marinas, in a fun town with good brewpubs, restaurants, and shops. Charlevoix, Michigan, is a one-of-a-kind destination on a small calm lake, which is great for anchoring but is also directly connected to Lake Michigan and its beautiful dunes, beaches, and islands, while additionally also directly connected to Lake Charlevoix, a 10-mile long inland lake. With access to a small, medium, and Great Lakes all within one mile, you can boat regardless of most weather conditions. The only thing I wish is that it was closer to us in Chicago so that we could boat there more often. —Kevin Fitzgerald
