Lau­ren Tisbo’s years of soc­cer train­ing made her a life­long ath­lete. “I go to the gym and run about ev­ery morn­ing,” says the top show jumper. She be­lieves be­ing fit helps her to be a bet­ter rider. “It also helps me men­tally. When I haven’t run for a cou­ple of days I kind of feel cruddy. I call run­ning my ‘morn­ing longe’ be­cause it clears my head. For me, it’s the best way to start the day.”
