Step 2: Jump Poles Next To the Ditch

Place two ground poles par­al­lel to the ditch so they extend its length. Then set a cone or ground pole about 18 feet in front of them.

1. Start with a short, punchy trot.

2. Sit up tall and GO FOR­WARD.

3. Jump the cen­ter of the poles.

4. Do the ex­er­cise at the can­ter.

5. Re­peat at can­ter at least eight times.
