Step 2: Jump Poles Next To the Ditch
Place two ground poles parallel to the ditch so they extend its length. Then set a cone or ground pole about 18 feet in front of them.
1. Start with a short, punchy trot.
2. Sit up tall and GO FORWARD.
3. Jump the center of the poles.
4. Do the exercise at the canter.
5. Repeat at canter at least eight times.
