Pri­vate Life Named Hunter of the Year

The 7-year-old KWPN geld­ing Pri­vate Life, owned by Dr. Bet­see Parker and rid­den by Scott Ste­wart, was awarded the WCHR Peter Wether­ill Cup and

named the 2017 USHJA WCHR Hunter of the Year in mid-Fe­bru­ary in Welling­ton, Florida.

In only his sec­ond year of show­ing, the bay hunter was the 2017 Green Con­for­ma­tion Cir­cuit Cham­pion at the Win­ter Eques­trian Fes­ti­val and won the Green Hunter Con­for­ma­tion Cham­pi­onships at Devon, the Cap­i­tal Chal­lenge Horse Show, the Penn­syl­va­nia Na­tional Horse Show, the Wash­ing­ton In­ter­na­tional Horse Show and the Na­tional Horse Show.

Pri­vate Life also earned the Re­serve Cham­pion ti­tle at the 2017 $100,000 WCHR Peter Wether­ill Palm Beach Hunter Spec­tac­u­lar and the Mark Gregory Per­pet­ual Tro­phy as the best con­di­tioned horse of the first round and the Char­lie Weaver Me­mo­rial Award as the high­est-scor­ing con­for­ma­tion horse of the first round.

Pri­vate Life earned the ti­tle 2017 USHJA WCHR Hunter of the Year.
