Hous­ton, TX - Broad­way star and Tony Award win­ner, Deb­bie Gravitte, has joined the cast of SLEEP­ING BEAUTY AND HER WIN­TER KNIGHT as the evil fairy, “Cara­bosse”, com­plet­ing the cast for the up­com­ing hol­i­day pro­duc­tion at Theatre Un­der The Stars! Gravitte won the Tony Award for Best Fea­tured Ac­tress in a Mu­si­cal for JEROME ROB­BINS’ BROAD­WAY. She has also ap­peared on Broad­way in THEY’RE PLAY­ING OUR SONG, BLUES IN THE NIGHT, ZORBA, LES MISERABLES and CHICAGO. She has per­formed with over 175 or­ches­tras around the world, in­clud­ing be­ing a fre­quent guest with the Hous­ton Sym­phony Or­ches­tra. Her tele­vi­sion cred­its in­clude Trial and Er­ror (CBS) and Pur­suit of Hap­pi­ness (NBC) and she can be heard as one of the voices in Dis­ney’s film THE LIT­TLE MER­MAID. HOUS­TON - Theatre Un­der The Stars (TUTS) has resched­uled cho­rus au­di­tions for its up­com­ing pro­duc­tion of MEM­PHIS, due street clo­sures for the pa­rade cel­e­brat­ing the Astros win­ning the World Se­ries. The au­di­tions, orig­i­nally sched­uled for Novem­ber 3rd, have been resched­uled to Thurs­day, Novem­ber 9th, 10 a.m. Male Dance Call, 11 a.m. Fe­male Dance Call, and 12 PM Singer Call. CON­NECT­ING THE SI­LOS AN ARTIST INC-HOUS­TON GROUP SHOW­CASE ON VIEW: NOVEM­BER 1 - DE­CEM­BER 13, 2017 OPEN­ING RE­CEP­TION: WED­NES­DAY, NOVEM­BER 8, 6-8PM

Con­nect­ing the Si­los, is an in­ter­dis­ci­pli­nary group show fea­tur­ing new col­lab­o­ra­tive works by twenty-seven Hous­ton­based vis­ual and per­form­ing artists with dis­ci­plines rang­ing from mu­sic, film, dance, pub­lic art, pho­tog­ra­phy, fash­ion, and paint­ing. The col­lab­o­ra­tive na­ture of the ex­hi­bi­tion will re­sult in a dy­namic multi-me­dia show­case of in­stal­la­tion and per­for­mance art. Par­tic­i­pat­ing artists are 2017 grad­u­ates of Fresh Arts’ Artist INC-Hous­ton pro­gram. Through Artist INC-Hous­ton, these artists – se­lected through a ju­ried process – gath­ered for one night a week for eight weeks to learn busi­ness skills spe­cific to their art prac­tice and ap­ply those skills co­op­er­a­tively with their peers. Artist INC ended in May 2017, but the artists who par­tic­i­pated re­quested an op­por­tu­nity to present work with their newly-dis­cov­ered peers across dis­ci­plines. This is how Con­nect­ing the Si­los was born.
