Price got what he wanted Saturday at the District One Class AAA East Wrestling Tournament at Hatboro-Horsham, earning a trio of pinfall victories, the last in 1:18 over Pennsbury’s Ernest Tessein to claim the district title at 182 pounds.
“Last year, my season was cut short. But I was determined this year that nothing EwillF be in my way,” Price said. “I need to work to overcome everything in my way. And that’s exactly what I’m doing.”
Fellow hnight Jeff Reimel also won gold, the junior winning at 152 pounds as korth Penn claimed the tournament’s team title with 91 points.
“Honestly, I love it, to win it for Ecoach Robert Shettsline, assistant coach wacF Fryling and all them,” Price said. “Just to win it for our school. This year, all my seniors, we’re just all best friends.”
Pennsbury took second with 74 points, while Council Rock South was third with 73.5. Pennridge used fiUVW-SODFH finLVKHV Ey MunLRU Scott Parker E113F and Ben Ross E120F to come in fourth with 69.5 points.

William Tennent’s Andrew Van Buskirk was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler after winning the title at 285.
Tennent’s Dylan kuttall E106F and Mark Issac E195F will join Van Buskirk at Regionals.
Hatboro-Horsham’s Connor Bodnar E152F and Upper Moreland’s Dom DeLaurentis E145F also advanced.
Parker, who took fourth last year at states at 103, earned his first district gold of his career, as he held off Council Rock South’s Dan Martoccio to earn a 2-0 decision in the 113 final.
“We’ve always had tight matches,” said Parker of Martoccio. “I got up to my feet a lot. I was maybe kind of hoping for a stalling call at some point – I never got it. I mean, I just wrestled smart on bottom, he was coming hard with the cradle.”

“Every time I go out there, I going to try and pin someone,” Ross said. “I don’t feel successful if I just go out try and win by points.”

“I’m just getting better, hitting new moves, trying new stuff,” he said. “Just wrestling myself, not getting too cocky, just staying normal.”
Also for korth Penn, Joey O’Brien came in second in 132 after dropping a 5-2 decision to Francesco Fabozzi of Central Bucks East, while Matt Robinson placed third at 145 by pinning CR South’s Lucas Martoccio in 1:56.
Barth took second at 145 after losing 8-1 to Ryan O’Connor of keshaminy.

Souderton junior Ricky voung, who won the Suburban One League Continental Conference title at 285 last Saturday, did not wrestle.
