Martha (Dettling) Peter, a resident of Horsham for over 60 years, died, March 22. She was 86.
She was the wife of the late Alfred O. Peter, with whom she had shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Johannes and Bertha (Hug) Dettling.

She is survived by her daughter, Helga Frieman (David); her grandchildren, Peter Hollerbach and Melissa Hollerbach and many family members in Germany. She was preceded in death by her son, Kurt, her sisters, Paula Buck and Monika Straub, and her brother, Adolf Dettling.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family after 11 a.m., Thursday, March 28 in James R. Baskwill Funeral Home, 20 W. Montgomery Ave, (half block west of vork Road) Hatboro; where her funeral service was held at noon. Interment followed in Whitemarsh Memorial Park. International Eucharistic Congress Music Ministry.
She was a longtime member of the Centennial Singers DQG DQ HOHFWLRQ RIfiFLDO IRU Montgomery County.
Marie was a graduate of Simon Gratz High School.
She last worked as a document librarian for SEMCOR at former NADC Johnsville Naval Station.
Her proudest accomplishment was being a wife and mother.
Relatives and friends were invited to the viewing 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, March 26 at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Ave., Jenkintown, and 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Wednesday, at St. Robert of Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington followed by a funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. Interment was in St. John Neumann Cemetery.
