Pick a Bouquet 6. 10. 3. Repeat step 5 to complete a total of 10 C-D units. Join two C-D units and add an A-B unit to the top and bottom to complete one pieced unit as shown in Figure 5; press. Repeat to make a total of four pieced units. Repeat steps 8 and 9 to complete a second half-unit. Center and sew a J strip to the angled edge of each runner end unit; press. Trim the ends of the J strips even with the top and bottom edges of the runner end units as shown in Figure 10 to complete two runner ends. 7. COMPLETING THE RUNNER Refer to the Assembly Diagram as needed to piece the runner top. Join two pieced units and one half-unit to complete one pieced end unit as shown in Figure 8; press. Join the two runner ends with K to complete the pieced top; press. Arrange, fuse and stitch the large and small flower shapes and flower centers in place to complete the runner top referring to Raw-Edge Fusible Appliqué on page 12. Create a quilt sandwich referring to Quilting Basics on page 110. Quilt as desired. Bind edges referring to Quilting Basics on page 110 to finish. 9.
