Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the wrong side of each C square. To complete one block, select one each A and B rectangle and two C squares. Place a C square right sides together on opposite corners of the A-B unit; stitch on the marked lines as shown in Figure 2. • Cut 1 (41/2" by fabric width) strip. Subcut strip into 4 (41/2") G squares. From cactus print: • Cut 6 (41/2" by fabric width) F strips. Cactus 2 From light green tonal: 6" x 6" Finished Block Make 32 • Cut 6 (61/2" by fabric width) strips. Subcut strips into 64 (31/2" x 61/2") A rectangles. C 4" 1/ From pink/yellow mottled: Figure 2 • Cut 9 (31/2" by fabric width) strips. Subcut strips into 96 (31/2") C squares. Cut 11 (11/2" by fabric width) D/E/H/I strips. Cut 7 (21/4" by fabric width) binding strips. 4" 1/ 5. Trim 1/4" beyond the stitching line and press the C pieces to the right side to complete one Cactus 1 block as shown in Figure 3. • Figure 3 6.
