Floral Garden 2. 9. COMPLETING THE SNOWBALL BLOCKS Subcut the C-D strip sets into (144) 11/2" C-D units as shown in Figure 3. To complete one Garden Patch 1 block, select one center unit, four corner units, two F-I units and one each E-F and F-J unit. Sew an E-F unit between two corner units to make the top row as shown in Figure 7; press seams toward the corner units. 1. Mark a diagonal line from corner to corner on the wrong side of each B square. To complete one Cream Snowball block, place a marked B square on each corner of an A square and stitch on the marked lines as shown in Figure 1. Cut 36 11/ Cut 144 11/ 2" 2" C C 10. H D 2. Repeat step 1 with C and H strips to make two C-H strip sets; subcut strip sets into (36) 11/2" C-H units, again referring to Figure 3. Join two C-H units to make a center unit as shown in Figure 5; press seam to one side. Repeat to make a total of 18 center units. Figure 8 12.
