Repeat step 1 with two Irish Chain blocks and three Flower blocks to make three B rows, turning the Irish Chain blocks in the B rows. Join the A and B rows to complete the quilt center; press. Join the P/Q/X/Y strips on the short ends to make a long strip; press. Subcut strip into two strips each 11/2" x 481/2" P, 11/2" x 421/2" Q, 11/2" x 601/2" X and 11/2" x 541/2" Y. Repeat step 4 with the R/S/V/W strips and subcut into two strips each 11/2" x 501/2" R, 11/2" x 441/2" S, 11/2" x 581/2" V and 11/2" x 521/2" W. Repeat step 4 with the T/U strips and subcut into two strips each 31/2" x 521/2" T and 31/2" x 501/2" U. Beginning with the P strips on opposite long sides, sew the strips cut in steps 4–6 to the quilt center in alphabetical order with the longer strips on opposite long sides and shorter strips on the top and bottom of the quilt center to complete the quilt top; press seams toward the strips after each addition.
