Mak­ing Bias Stems

It's easy to make neat bias stem pieces us­ing bias strips and a bias bar. 1. With wrong sides to­gether, fold an E bias strip in half along the length and stitch us­ing a 1/4" seam al­lowance; trim seam to 1/8". 2. Insert a 1/2" bias press­ing bar in the stitched tube with seam down the cen­ter re­fer­ring to Fig­ure A; press the seam open and edges flat. 3. Re­move the bias bar.
