• 1/2 yard medium green tonal* • 1/2 yard medium blue tonal* • 5/ 8 yard dark green tonal* • 11/ 3 yards navy blue tonal* • 21/ 3 yards light blue tonal* • Back­ing to size • Bat­ting to size • Thread • Ba­sic sewing tools and sup­plies *Har­mony fab­ric col­lec­tion from Quilt­ing Trea­sures used to make sam­ple.

CUT­TING From medium green tonal:

• Cut 3 (31/2" by fab­ric width) strips. Sub­cut strips into 24 (31/2") D squares.

From medium blue tonal:

• Cut 3 (31/2" by fab­ric width) strips. Sub­cut strips into 24 (31/2") C squares.

From dark green tonal:

• Cut 5 (31/2" by fab­ric width) strips. Sub­cut strips into 24 (31/2" x 67/ 8") B rec­tan­gles.

From navy blue tonal:

• Cut 5 (31/2" by fab­ric width) strips. Sub­cut strips into 24 (31/2" x 67/ 8")

A rec­tan­gles. • Cut 2 (2" by fab­ric width) strips.

Sub­cut strips into 35 (2") H squares. • Cut 6 (21/4" by fab­ric width) bind­ing strips.

From light blue tonal:

• Cut 5 (31/2" by fab­ric width) strips.

Sub­cut strips into 48 (31/2") E squares. • Cut 3 (37/ 8" by fab­ric width) strips. Sub­cut strips into 24 (37/ 8") squares. Cut each square in half on 1 di­ag­o­nal to make 48 F tri­an­gles. • Cut 14 (2" by fab­ric width) strips.

Sub­cut strips into 82 (2" x 61/2") G strips. • Cut 6 (21/2" by fab­ric width) I/J strips.

COM­PLET­ING THE A- B- F BLOCKS

1. Mea­sure and mark 31/2" from the bot­tom left cor­ner of an A rec­tan­gle as shown in Fig­ure 1. Cut from the mark to the top left cor­ner to make an A chis­elshape piece, again re­fer­ring to Fig­ure 1. Re­peat with all A and B rec­tan­gles to make 24 each A and B chisel-shape pieces.

2. Sew an F tri­an­gle to the trimmed edge of each A and B piece to make 24 each A-F and B-F units as shown in Fig­ure 2; press.

3. Join one each A-F and B-F unit as shown in Fig­ure 3 to com­plete one A-B-F block; press. 4. Re­peat step 3 to com­plete a to­tal of 24 A-B-F blocks.

COM­PLET­ING THE C- D- E BLOCKS

1. To com­plete one C-D-E block, se­lect one each C and D square and two E squares. 2. Sew C to E and D to E to make C-E and D-E rows as shown in Fig­ure 4; press. 3. Join the rows re­fer­ring to the block draw­ing to com­plete one C-D-E block; press.
