Prepare templates using patterns given. Fold all (precut and strips cut from yardage) 21/2" by fabric width strips in half to make 21/2" x 20" strips. Place the templates on the strips to cut matching pairs as directed on patterns for each fabric and number to cut, and referring to Figure 1.
COMPLETING THE RUNNER
Refer to the Assembly Diagram for construction steps. 1. Arrange the A, B, C and D pieces with the E and ER pieces in 10 vertical rows, matching same-fabric pieces in pairs from row to row to create the hexagons in the completed top. 2. Join the pieces as arranged to make rows; press. 3. Join the rows to complete the runner top. 4. Create a quilt sandwich referring to Quilting Basics on page 94. 5. Quilt as desired. 6. Bind edges referring to Quilting Basics on page 94 to finish.
