Tremendous tour — and backdrop

Rappahannock News - - FROM PAGE ONE -

The two-day Rappahannock County Farm Tour was an “absolute success,” with several farms greeting upwards of 250 to 300 visitors during the weekend. The 2017 Farm Tour featured eleven working farms at ten different locations. The Farm Tour Committee extends big thanks to farm venues, volunteers, sponsors, guide book advertisers, and individual committee members. They also applaud Mother Nature: “The entire county was awash in sunshine and blue skies — it was a great backdrop for both out-of-town and local visitors,” notes tour co-chair Laurie Smith. Seen here, one of the more than 40 llamas at Freestate Llamas, a breeding farm tucked away in Gid Brown Hollow, charms young visitors to the county.
