Transverse Battery Mounting

RC Car Action - - BUILT FOR SPEED -

The new chassis and mudguards allow for two different mounting positions of shorty battery packs. You can mount the pack in line with the chassis or across the chassis to fine-tune how the truck reacts on the track. Having the pack mounted in line puts the battery’s weight along the truck’s centerline, which makes for a truck that is more responsive when turning. At the same time, that will also reduce the grip that the truck has in the turns. Mounting the pack sideways spreads the weight of the battery out to the sides, and in the end, that slows down the truck’s responsiveness and improves grip in the turns. The opening is large enough to run a brick or saddle pack if you choose to do so. When running a shorty pack sideways, you have the option of using sliding tabs in the battery brace to locate it front to back or you can use the included foam spacers to do it.
