Silver Dollar RC Raceway in Chico, California, hosted the ROAR 1/8 Electric Nationals, with all of the factory teams and big names battling it out for the titles. Although attendance was lower than expected, the competition was still fierce. In the premier 1/8 E-buggy class, Ryan Maifield (Mugen) put in a strong performance from his TQ position to take the title in the first two mains. A hard-charging Ty Tessmann (XRAY) secured second and Team Associated’s Dreighton Stoub left to take the final podium spot. In E-truggy, Tessmann drove to the win ahead of some of the biggest names in off-road racing. Ryan Maifield put up a strong fight, but settled for second. Ryan Cavalieri took the last podium spot for third overall with Team Associated. The 4X4 Short Course class saw TLR’S Dakotah Phend come out on top after setting the track ablaze for the TQ spot. Tanner Denney (TLR) kept things interesting by taking the first A-main, but settled second overall with Ryan Maifield wheeling his Yokomo into third after the three Mains.
