CHESTERTOWN — Harry Buckie Harrison, of Chestertown, died March 24, 2016, at his daughter’s home in Magnolia, Texas, at the age of 65.
Harry is sur vived by his wife of 41 years, Pamela Hope Harrison of Chestertown; his daughter, Beth McKnight, and her husband, Travis McKnight, of Magnolia; his son, Ray Harrison, and his wife, Anna Harrison, of Chestertown; and four grandchildren: Hadley and Easton McKnight and Reagan and Georgia Harrison.
Harry was born Oct. 10, 1950, in Greenville, S.C., the son of the late Raymond M. Harrison and Francis E. Williams. His family moved to Church Hill in 1959 and he graduated from Queen Anne’s County High School in 1969. After school, he worked in the family’s septic business, where he remained president of the company, Harry’s Septic Installation, until his death.
Harry married his high school sweetheart on Oct. 24, 1974, and they raised their family in Chestertown. He enjoyed traveling with his family and shooting sporting clays.
Harry and his wife were members of Chestertown Baptist Church for 35 years, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and a deacon for a number of years.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Chestertown Baptist Church.
Interment was at Crumpton Cemetery following the service.
