Hometown hero attends Easter Sunday service

Record Observer - - Opinion -

CENTREVILLE — On Sunday, March 27, Bethel A.M.E. Church, Centreville, and Pastor Terry A. Gaddy held the Easter Sunday service. Among the congregation was one of their members, Queen Anne’s County High School graduate Damonte Dodd, who is currently attending the University of Maryland College Park.

Damonte is a Maryland Terrapin No. 35. His proud parents Michael and Angela Anderson give a lot of credit to his coach Mark Turgeon, who gave him the exposure of being a Terp that he was able to play in the Big 10. Even though the Terps did not make it in the Big 10, it was a blessing to have him come to church with his family.

Damonte’s parents, family members, church family, and friends always remind him to stay humble and play the game the best he can.
