Chester woman dies in wreck
CAMDEN, DEL. — A Chester woman died in a head-on crash Sunday afternoon west of Camden, Del., when a car crossed into her lane for unknown reasons, according to Delaware State Police.
Nathaniel J. Plass, 62 of Felton, Del., was driving a 2014 silver Toyota Corolla west on Willow Grove Road just west of Farm Lane about 1:28 p.m. on April 17. Kassia J. Pulley, 41, of Chester, was driving a 2011 Honda Accord east, approaching the Corolla. The Toyota crossed over into the eastbound lane and struck the Honda nearly head-on causing both cars to spin, police said. The Toyota continued west and came to a stop facing in northwest in the center of the road; the Honda continued east, traveling off the south side of the road into a ditch before coming to a stop facing west, police said.
Police said Pulley was wearing a seatbelt, but she sustained multiple traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the Honda, Ambrose D. Robinson, 39, also of Chester, was not wearing a seatbelt, police said. He was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital with what police called non-life-threatening injuries.
Plass was wearing a seatbelt, police said. He was airlifted by State Police Aviation (Trooper 2) to Christiana Medical Center. Police said his injuries were non-life-threatening.
The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing its investigation. Police said they do not believe speed or alcohol were involved.
