Help wanted for Women Build Week
DENTON — Women in Caroline and Queen Anne’s counties and surrounding areas are invited to help address the need for affordable housing throughout the community during Habitat for Humanity’s ninth annual National Women Build Week.
National Women Build Week, held April 30 through May 7, challenges women to devote at least one day to building simple, decent and affordable housing in their local communities. More than 62,000 women from all 50 states have volunteered in previous years.
“We are excited to participate in National Women Build Week, this year not only in Caroline County but in Queen Anne’s County also,” said Bill Clemens, executive director of Tuckahoe Habitat. “This is a great opportunity for women of all skill levels to come together to help a family in need of better housing.”
