WONDERFUL EVENT I believe our cash bash at the Goodwill Firehouse Saturday was the largest and most successful ever.

This is being written before the fire meeting Monday night where I am sure we will have facts and figures about the 5th annual Cash Bash.

As a couple people said to me again, “it is just a fine social event” along with being a great fundraiser for the fire company. The Tabler family did not win any cash this year, but several of my friends did, and I took a photo of the happy $20,000 winner, Auggie Argabright, who told me he was from Queenstown.

It is always good to have the BIG winner local. Hope his pix with our general chairman of the Cash Bash, John Cvach, is in the paper this week.

The winner said he has been here for the past three years and even won a $125 prize his first year. He’s a rather lucky fellow!

As I have said before, this is a great fundraiser for everyone. The odds of winning something are much better than the lottery, with 145 cash drawings every 2 1/2 minutes from noon to 6 p.m., you can enjoy free food and beverages all day — well, we do charge for the liquor
