Compass Regional Hospice golfers to tee off May 16
GRASONVILLE — Compass Regional Hospice invites golfers who are ready for a spring outing to tee off at the 19th annual golf tournament scheduled for Monday, May 16, at Prospect Bay Country Club in Grasonville. Golfers can choose to play the nine-hole or the 18-hole courses.
The entry fee for this Compass Regional Hospice fundraiser is $125 per golfer for the 18-hole round and $75 per golfer for the nine-hole round. Foursomes and individual golfers are welcome.
On the day of the tournament, registration begins at 11 a.m. A light lunch will be served before the shotgun start at 1 p.m. Refreshments will be available on the course. After play, the golfers are invited back to the club house for appetizers and an awards reception.
Members of the community who are not golfers and golfers who want to do more to support Compass Regional Hospice can sign on as tournament sponsors.
“We have sponsorship opportunities ranging from $100 to $5,000,” said Kenda Leager, development officer for Compass Regional Hospice. “All proceeds from this year’s golf tournament enable Compass Regional Hospice to offer professional and compassionate care for people living with a life-limiting illness. Additionally, the support of our golfers and sponsors allows us to continue to offer programs that are not reimbursed from other sources such as our grief counseling and Bridges, our prehospice program for people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and are not yet ready for hospice.”
