Estate Treasures volunteers honored
CENTREVILLE — Compass Regional Hospice chose two Estate Treasures as its most recent volunteers of the month.
Linda Bounds of Wye Mills and Lynda Brown of Centreville are the creative duo behind the colorful store windows at Estate Treasures. They are being recognized as the Compass Regional Hospice volunteers of the month for their energy, creativity and willingness to pitch in wherever needed. Both women volunteer regularly at the shop located at Kent Towne Market in Chester. They are also part of the team that organizes the fashion show hosted by Estate Treasures every October.
“Compass Regional Hospice is very fortunate to have so many talented volunteers that support all of our programs,” said Courtney Williams, volunteer and professional services manager. “They share their talents with the patients we serve and the communities in which we live.”
Founded in 1991, Estate Treasures is a upscale resale shop that benefits Compass Regional Hospice. The more than 100 men and women who operate the shop have made it possible to raise more than $2 million dollars for hospice care over the past 25 years.
Compass Regional Hospice relies on as many as 300 volunteers to support the patients and families ser ved in Queen Anne’s, Kent and Caroline counties.
