Es­tate Trea­sures vol­un­teers hon­ored

CEN­TRE­VILLE — Com­pass Re­gional Hos­pice chose two Es­tate Trea­sures as its most re­cent vol­un­teers of the month.

Linda Bounds of Wye Mills and Lynda Brown of Cen­tre­ville are the cre­ative duo be­hind the col­or­ful store win­dows at Es­tate Trea­sures. They are be­ing rec­og­nized as the Com­pass Re­gional Hos­pice vol­un­teers of the month for their en­ergy, cre­ativ­ity and will­ing­ness to pitch in wher­ever needed. Both women vol­un­teer reg­u­larly at the shop lo­cated at Kent Towne Mar­ket in Ch­ester. They are also part of the team that or­ga­nizes the fash­ion show hosted by Es­tate Trea­sures ev­ery Oc­to­ber.

“Com­pass Re­gional Hos­pice is very for­tu­nate to have so many tal­ented vol­un­teers that sup­port all of our pro­grams,” said Court­ney Wil­liams, vol­un­teer and pro­fes­sional ser­vices man­ager. “They share their tal­ents with the pa­tients we serve and the com­mu­ni­ties in which we live.”

Founded in 1991, Es­tate Trea­sures is a up­scale re­sale shop that ben­e­fits Com­pass Re­gional Hos­pice. The more than 100 men and women who op­er­ate the shop have made it pos­si­ble to raise more than $2 mil­lion dol­lars for hos­pice care over the past 25 years.

Com­pass Re­gional Hos­pice re­lies on as many as 300 vol­un­teers to sup­port the pa­tients and fam­i­lies ser ved in Queen Anne’s, Kent and Caro­line coun­ties.
