••• 4TH ANNUAL PET-A-PALOOZA You will want to sing silly songs with Mr. Sam at 2:30 p.m. on May 15, on the front porch of the library in Centreville, during the 4th annual Pet-A-Palooza that runs from 1 to 4 p.m. on May 15.
There is also a photo contest for the event with the theme “Pets and Vacation.” The deadline to email entries to firstname.lastname@example.org is May 8. There will be early voting May 9 through May 14 at the Commerce Street Creamery or at Pet-A-Palooza on Sunday, May 15 from 1 to 4 p.m.

••• COMPUTER CLASSES We will have one-on-one computer classes at Kent Island and Centreville branches this month. Go to Kent Island on May 10-11, at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m. You may come to Centreville on May 18 at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 12 p.m., or May 19 at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m. We will hold a Windows 10 class on Saturday, May 28 at Kent Island, 9:30 a.m. and at Centreville at 3:30 p.m.

••• THIS IS AN IT SECURITY TIP How to protect yourself for phishing. These phishing scams are fraudulent emails posing as legitimate companies to trick people into giving out their personal information, or downloading malware/viruses.
We will feature a new IT security tip monthly about how our patrons can stay safe online. They will be featured as web banners/Facebook ads, in the library.
