Yes, it is the big 24th an­nual Pet-A-Palooza this Satur­day at the li­brary run­ning from 1 to 4 p.m. You will want to be on the front porch at 2:30 p.m. to sing silly songs with Mr. Sam. Lots of other ac­tiv­i­ties go­ing on dur­ing the af­ter­noon.

••• FIN­GER PAINTING All young­sters ages 2 to 5, with an adult, will have fun fin­ger painting at the li­brary on Fri­day, May 20, be­gin­ning at 10:30 a.m. Make sure your child wears some­thing that can get messy says Miss Jenny.

••• COM­PUTER CLASSES We will have one-on-one com­puter classes at the Centreville branch on May 18 at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon, and again May 19 at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. There will be a Win­dows 10 class on Satur­day, May 28, at 3:30 p.m.

••• MAC GAL IS BACK If you would like to see the Mac gal, she will be back at Centreville on Wed­nes­day, May 18, at 9:15 a.m. No reg­is­tra­tion is needed.

••• BOOK DIS­CUS­SION GROUP The Book Dis­cus­sion Group meet­ing at the Kent Is­land Yacht Club on Thurs­day, May 26, will talk about “Kitchens of the Great Mid­west” by J. Ryan Stradal. The dis­cus­sion be­gins at 6 p.m., and there is a lim­ited din­ner menu and drinks avail­able for pur­chase.

CAL­EN­DAR This is one to mark down on your cal­en­dar for June 15 at the Kent Is­land branch. We will meet au­thors Lisa Unger, who wrote “Ink and Book” and Al­li­son Leotta, the au­thor of “Last Good Girl.” It will be at 7 p.m. at the Kent Is­land branch, lo­cated at 200 Li­brary Cir­cle, Stevensville. The event is open to the pub­lic.
