Williamson receives Common Ground Foundation Award
OCEAN CITY — At the fifth annual Common Ground Conference, held April 28 and 29 in Ocean City, Dr. Carol Williamson, superintendent of Queen Anne’s County Public Schools, was awarded the Common Ground Foundation Award.
The award honors a person, team or organization for promoting quality professional development for teachers and leaders through collaboration. Williamson received this award at the leadership luncheon from former QACPS principal and now Executive Director of The Council of Educational Administrative and Supervisory Organizations of Maryland, Denise Hershberger.
CEASOM is an organization comprised of 14 organizations, including the Maryland State Department of Education and Maryland Association of Boards of Education, which are primarily involved in the areas of educational administration and supervision. Through the council, educational information is shared throughout the year. The organization’s mission is to provide, quality instruction, quality leadership and quality schools.
