Centreville Rotary seeks artisans for annual festival
CENTREVILLE — Artisans and crafters with original work for sale are being sought for the 45th annual Artisans Festival sponsored by the Centreville Rotar y Club to be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Queen Anne’s County 4-H Park. The park is located on Route 18, four miles west of Centreville.
More than 70 artists from throughout the Delmarva Peninsula will exhibit a wide range of talents and treasures. Included in the original offerings are paintings, pottery, basketry, stained glass, wood carving, jewelry, photography and more.
A sliding scale for 10x10 spaces is being used: $95 inside building, $85 outside under pavilion, and $70 outside no cover. All spaces are available on a first-come, firstserved basis. Space is also available for food vendors and nonprofit organizations.
Admission is free, but donations at the gate are welcomed. Proceeds support local youth scholarships, operation of the regional shelter for victims of domestic violence, participation in the Rotary worldwide project to eradicate polio and Lifetime Wells for Ghana, a clean water project in Africa.
