Lo­cal mu­si­cian wins gui­tar raf­fle

STEVENSVILLE — Judy Wol­gast, Pres­i­dent of Kent Is­land Fed­er­a­tion of Arts pre­sented lo­cal mu­si­cian Clin­ton Blake Squitieri with a PRS Torero Elec­tric Gui­tar. Squitieri was the win­ner of the gui­tar raf­fle an­nounced Satur­day, May 7, at the KIFA An­nual Awards and Artists Re­cep­tion.

Hav­ing been in­vited to per­form, Squitieri was very ex­cited to dis­cover he also had the win­ning ticket.

“I would like to thank the Kent Is­land Fed­er­a­tion of Arts for invit­ing me to play gui­tar at the mem­bers art show. So glad I dis­cov­ered this friendly com­mu­nity of tal­ented artists and the KIFA or­ga­ni­za­tion, open to the pub­lic with qual­ity art and gifts to pur­chase. It was a plea­sure and honor to per­form for this or­ga­ni­za­tion,” he said.

Squitieri also ex­pressed his thanks to Paul Reed Smith Gui­tars for be­ing so phil­an­thropic to the lo­cal com­mu­nity and for the com­pany’s car­ing con­tri­bu­tions and qual­ity crafts­man­ship to the mu­sic in­dustr y. “I am pleased to have this gui­tar,” Squitieri said.

A Kent Is­land res­i­dent and Mary­land na­tive, Squitieri has also stud­ied in South­ern Cal­i­for­nia. He has been play­ing gui­tar for more than 30 years with con­cen­tra­tion on rock/con­tem­po­rary mu­sic.
