Fes­ti­val adds corn hole com­pe­ti­tion

CENTREVILLE — For the first time corn hole con­tests will be fea­tured at Bay Mu­sic Fes­ti­val. Sup­port­ing the Centreville Lions with ac­tiv­ity is a vol­un­teer group of ex­pe­ri­enced tour­na­ment play­ers. There will be a $5 fee to play. Half of en­trance fees will ben­e­fit the Lions Club and half will be in a prize pool for the par­tic­i­pants. Teams will be de­cided by the luck of the draw for part­ners. Ev­ery­one who plays will have an op­por­tu­nity to play a skilled player. Dickie Booze of Centreville will be in charge of con­duct­ing the corn hole con­tests.

Twelve sep­a­rate mu­sic groups will be per­form­ing on two stages be­gin­ning at 1 p.m. and run­ning to 9 p.m.

The event in­cludes a moon bounce and slide for young­sters, and the YMCA of the Ch­e­sa­peake is pro­vid­ing games and ac­tiv­i­ties. In ad­di­tion, there will be the Phillips Wharf Fish­mo­bile. There will be plenty of food and bev­er­ages (al­co­hol and non­al­co­holic), as well as ar­ti­san ven­dors for at­ten­dees to pe­ruse while lis­ten­ing to great mu­sic.

Free park­ing will be avail­able on the grounds as­sisted by the Boy Scouts.
