June a busy month at library
CENTREVILLE — The month of June will be a busy time at the Centreville Branch of the Queen Anne’s County Library with a number of special programs lined up for patrons.
You should also pick up a copy of the Summer Reading brochure for young people at the Circulation Desk for all the programs for youth at both Centreville and Kent Island.
New members are always welcome for the Afternoon Book Club, and the first book under discussion on June 2 from 1 to 2p.m. will be “The Goldfinch” by Donna Tartt.
There will be Coloring and Coffee on Mondays in June at 2:30 p.m. Come in, sit, sip, color and relax. Any questions contact Andrea, the public services librarian.
You will need to register for our Books After Hours club on June 24 at 7 p.m. This book club will meet four times a year with snacks and non-alcoholic drinks provided by the library. On June 24, the book will be “Born to Run” by Christopher McDougall. This program is for those 21 and older. Go to qac. librar y.org or call 410-758-0980 to register.
Registration is also needed for free yoga classes to be held at the library each Wednesday in June beginning June 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the meeting room. Space is limited, and all classes will be led by Every Body Yoga from Centreville, which has been serving the town residents since January 200. You may register online at calendar.qaclibrary.org.
