June a busy month at li­brary

CENTREVILLE — The month of June will be a busy time at the Centreville Branch of the Queen Anne’s County Li­brary with a num­ber of spe­cial pro­grams lined up for pa­trons.

You should also pick up a copy of the Sum­mer Read­ing brochure for young peo­ple at the Cir­cu­la­tion Desk for all the pro­grams for youth at both Centreville and Kent Is­land.

New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come for the Af­ter­noon Book Club, and the first book un­der dis­cus­sion on June 2 from 1 to 2p.m. will be “The Goldfinch” by Donna Tartt.

There will be Coloring and Cof­fee on Mon­days in June at 2:30 p.m. Come in, sit, sip, color and re­lax. Any ques­tions con­tact An­drea, the pub­lic ser­vices li­brar­ian.

You will need to regis­ter for our Books Af­ter Hours club on June 24 at 7 p.m. This book club will meet four times a year with snacks and non-al­co­holic drinks pro­vided by the li­brary. On June 24, the book will be “Born to Run” by Christo­pher McDougall. This pro­gram is for those 21 and older. Go to qac. li­brar y.org or call 410-758-0980 to regis­ter.

Reg­is­tra­tion is also needed for free yoga classes to be held at the li­brary each Wed­nes­day in June be­gin­ning June 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the meet­ing room. Space is limited, and all classes will be led by Ev­ery Body Yoga from Centreville, which has been serv­ing the town res­i­dents since Jan­uary 200.
