Town seeks vol­un­teers for cel­e­bra­tion

CENTREVILLE — The Centreville fireworks and fam­ily fun event in cel­e­bra­tion of In­de­pen­dence Day is set for Satur­day, July 2.

This free fam­ily event be­gins at 6 p.m. in the bus loop at Queen Anne’s County High School. In ad­di­tion to two bouncy houses (one just for the lit­tle kids), this year’s fea­ture ac­tiv­ity will be the Mind Winder ride, which will be free for all kids and adults, thanks to a do­na­tion from Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 36.

The town is seek­ing vol­un­teers to help man­age the bouncy houses. Any­one in­ter­ested is asked to con­tact Carolyn Brink­ley at cbrink­ley@townof­cen­tre­ or 410-7581180.

There will be food ven­dors, games and mu­sic by DJ Steve Moody of Steve Moody’s En­ter­tain­ment Con­nec­tion. Pa­tri­otic mu­sic will be played dur­ing the fireworks, sched­uled to start at 9:15 p.m.
