Sudlersville to hold special elec­tion

SUDLERSVILLE — The town will hold a special elec­tion on July 6 to change its cor­po­rate name from “The Com­mis­sion­ers of Sudlersville” to “Town of Sudlersville.”

Qual­i­fied town vot­ers may cast their bal­lots from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Town Of­fice, 200 S. Church St., Sudlersville, on Char­ter Amend­ment Res­o­lu­tion No. 2016-01. If ap­proved, the name change will take ef­fect July 11.

Vot­ers who want to vote ab­sen­tee must con­tact the town clerk-trea­surer in per­son or by call­ing 410-438-3465 for a bal­lot. Ab­sen­tee bal­lots must be re­ceived by the close of polls July 6 to be counted.
