••• FAVORITE SUMMER
READS The group meeting at the Kent Island Yacht Club on Thursday, July 28, at 6 p.m. will be asked to bring along a favorite summer reading book to share. The challenge is to find a book you have enjoyed, but may not be familiar to others. Maybe a debut novel, nonfiction selection or an esoteric topic. There will be a limited dinner menu and drinks available for purchase.
••• KIDS READ FREE Yes, we know the kids, and you, read free at the library, but all children’s and young adult material checked out through Labor Day weekend will have no late fees. This excludes DVDs and interlibrary loan items.
