••• FA­VORITE SUM­MER

READS The group meet­ing at the Kent Is­land Yacht Club on Thurs­day, July 28, at 6 p.m. will be asked to bring along a fa­vorite sum­mer read­ing book to share. The chal­lenge is to find a book you have en­joyed, but may not be fa­mil­iar to oth­ers. Maybe a de­but novel, nonfiction se­lec­tion or an es­o­teric topic. There will be a lim­ited din­ner menu and drinks avail­able for pur­chase.

••• KIDS READ FREE Yes, we know the kids, and you, read free at the li­brary, but all chil­dren’s and young adult ma­te­rial checked out through Labor Day week­end will have no late fees. This ex­cludes DVDs and in­ter­li­brary loan items.
