County to fund 17 or­ga­ni­za­tions $163,000 in FY17

CENTREVILLE — Queen Anne’s County Di­rec­tor of Bud­get, Fi­nance and In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy Jonathan See­man sent let­ters to county or­ga­ni­za­tions on June 20 in­form­ing all about the funds it will re­ceive from the ap­proved Fis­cal Year 2017 bud­get.

The to­tal amount the county is pro­vid­ing to lo­cal or­ga­ni­za­tions is $163,000 as ap­proved in the bud­get and is dis­persed through­out 17 or­ga­ni­za­tions or gov­ern­ment in­sti­tu­tions.

The or­ga­ni­za­tions and dol­lar amount pro­vided are as fol­lows: Queen Anne’s County Arts Coun­cil, Inc., $10,000; Bay Coun­try Moose Lodge #831, $20,000; CASA of the Mid-Shore, $5,000; Ch­e­sa­peake Cats and Dogs, $20,000; Ch­e­sa­peake Bay En­vi­ron­men­tal Cen­ter, $15,000; Ch­ester­wye Cen­ter, Inc., $14,300; Coun­cil for Chil­dren and Youth, $1,000; Clean Ch­e­sa­peake Coali­tion, $25,000; Com­mu­nity Me­di­a­tion Up­per Shore, Inc., $5,000; Day Care, Inc., $7,500; Eastern Shore Her­itage, Inc., $3,000; For All Sea­sons, Inc., $5,000; Forestry Board, $1,000; His­toric Sites Con­sor­tium, $4,000; His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, $3,000; Sudlersville Me­mo­rial Li­brary, $15,000; and Town of Sudlersville, $10,000 for the op­er­at­ing ex­penses for the Town of Sudlersville Li­brary.
