Kent Li­brary launches new dig­i­tal ser­vice

CH­ESTER­TOWN — Kent County Pub­lic Li­brary has re­cently launched the ser­vice hoopla dig­i­tal, a free Net­flix-like ser­vice. Thou­sands of pa­trons across the East­ern Shore now have free on­line and mo­bile ac­cess to more than 500,000 movies, mu­sic, eBooks and more.

Li­brary card­hold­ers may ac­cess thou­sands of ti­tles, and in­stantly ex­pe­ri­ence, ex­plore and en­joy on-de­mand con­tent via their smart­phones, tablets, PCs, Ap­ple TV and Chrome­cast.

Hoopla dig­i­tal fea­tures con­tent from ma­jor Hol­ly­wood stu­dios, pub­lish­ers and record com­pa­nies such as PBS shows, Dis­ney-Pixar and many oth­ers. Pa­trons may en­joy au­dio­books, comics and tele­vi­sion shows.

Kent County Pub­lic Li­brary is the 11th li­brary sys­tem in Mary­land to part­ner with hoopla dig­i­tal.
