Woman charged with fleeing scene of crash
SUDLERSVILLE — A Delaware woman was charged with driving on a revoked out-ofstate license and leaving the scene of an accident, according to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.
Tammy Marie Bennett, 49, of CamdenWyoming, Del., was found hiding in a bar in Sudlersville about 11:31 p.m. June 25 after reportedly leaving the scene of a single-vehicle crash in the area of Duhamel Corner Road prior to Busic Church Road, police said.
A deputy found a blue Chevrolet Camaro in a ditch and proceeded to find evidence in the car that Bennett was the vehicle’s driver, though not at the scene, police said.
A call came in multiple hours after the deputy found the car noting the driver was in Sudlersville.
