Shore At­ti­tude pair named to USA Elite soft­ball teams

STEVENSVILLE — Shore At­ti­tude soft­ball’s Bre­anna Athey, of Queen­stown, and Cameron White­ford, of Centreville, have been se­lected to par­tic­i­pate in the 2016 USA Elite Se­lect Fu­tures All-Amer­i­can Games this Au­gust.

The games, which are played in Or­lando, Fla., al­low the top 24 play­ers from eight re­gions across the coun­try to com­pete against each other on a na­tional stage. The player se­lec­tion process in­cludes try­outs with eval­u­a­tions by cur­rent and for­mer USSSA Pride play­ers, other Na­tional Pro Fast Pitch play­ers and col­lege coaches.

A short­stop for Shore At­ti­tude, Bre­anna will be play­ing with the North­east Re­gion’s 12U Na­tional Team.

Cameron, who plays third base for Shore At­ti­tude, will play for the 12U Na­tional Team for the Mid-At­lantic Re­gion.
