WC-ALL SHOWCASE coming mid-August
CHESTERTOWN — The Washington College Academy of Lifelong Learning, a continuing education program, announces Showcase, scheduled for 4 p.m. Aug. 15 in the Hotchkiss Recital Hall of the Gibson Center for the Arts on the Washington College campus.
Instructors for the WC-ALL fall semester will describe their courses. Afterward, community members will have an opportunity to talk with them and with WC-ALL members over refreshments.
The fall semester is divided into two six-week sessions, Sept. 6 to Oct. 14 and Oct. 23 to Dec. 9. With a few exceptions, classes are held on campus in the afternoon, 4:15 p.m.-5:30 p.m..
Each semester, about 350 people join WC-ALL. Members may register for as many courses as they wish for one inclusive membership fee. There is no age or educational requirement. Courses are taught by community members with interesting life experiences and expertise in a wide variety of fields.
WC-ALL also hosts a series of Learn-at-Lunches throughout the year, open to member and non-members, and special event field trips.
