SEE YOU AT THE FAIR Be sure to look over the lobby display as you enter the front door to the library and check out the county fair coming up Aug. 8-13. Then when you visit the fair, please stop by the library booth for a few giveaways, and the reminder that all children’s and young adult materials checked out through Labor Day will have no late fees. This does not include DVDs and our Interlibrary Loan items.

••• FREE BOOKS Look over the cart in the Main Reading Room. There may be a few books that are free for the taking.

••• DID YOU KNOW? The library provides a free service through Storytime on Wheels. This project goes to licensed home child care centers in Queen Anne’s County to provide monthly reading programs. This Storytime experience and follow-up activities bring the fun and excitement of books directly to young children. If you would like to volunteer or have a volunteer visit your center, contact the library today.

Did you know that children exposed to reading may become independent? If your child is becoming curious or using words you don’t know, there is a chance he or she may already be reading.
