MILLING­TON — Steven Rol­li­son Ford of Milling­ton died Mon­day, May 2, 2016, at Com­pass Re­gional Hospice in Centreville. He was 59.

He was born Aug. 16, 1956, son of Lawrence Theodore Ford and the late Carol Quillen Ford Perkins, who pre­ceded him in death on March 30, 2016.

He is sur­vived by his fa­ther, Lawrence Theodore Ford of Ch­ester­town, and his broth­ers and sis­ters, Michael Ford, Larry Ford, Brid­get/Bill Rahr and Bar­bara/Terry Wil­liams. He was pre­ceded in death by his sis­ter, Karol Jean “Suzy” Ford, on April 12, 2016. Ste­vie also leaves many aunts, un­cles, nieces, neph­ews and other rel­a­tives to sur­vive him.

Ste­vie grew up in the Ch­ester­town area and com­pleted 10th grade in high school. He joined the United States Army in 1979 and re­ceived an honor­able dis­charge in 1981.

Over the years, he was em­ployed by David A. Bram­ble Inc., paving con­trac­tor, Thomas/Rick Austin Paint­ing and later as a self-em­ployed painter. He loved to fish, crab and re­pair lawn mow­ers and other equip­ment.

Ste­vie was cre­mated at the Mary­land Cre­ma­tory and at his re­quest his ashes were scat­tered in the Cor­sica River.
