CH­ESTER­TOWN — Karol Jean Ford, bet­ter known as “Suzy,” of Ch­ester­town, died Tues­day, April 12, 2016, at Uni­ver­sity of Mary­land Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Bal­ti­more City, fol­low­ing a long bat­tle with di­a­betes. She was 58.

She was born on Nov. 9, 1957, daugh­ter of Lawrence Theodore Ford and the late Carol Quillen Ford Perkins, who pre­ceded her in death on March 30, 2016.

She is sur­vived by a daugh­ter, Vic­to­ria “Tori” Clough, and her chil­dren. A son, Jonathan Clough, pre­ceded her in death in 2013.

Suzy also is sur­vived by her fa­ther, Lawrence Theodore Ford; her broth­ers and sis­ters, Michael Ford, Steven Ford, Larry Ford, Brid­get/Bill Rahr, and Bar­bara/Terry Wil­liams, all of Ch­ester­town; and her aunts, un­cles, nieces, neph­ews and many other rel­a­tives.

Suzy grew up in Ch­ester­town and at­tended school there. She liked to bowl.

In later years, she worked for Bill Walls at his seafood business in Ch­ester­town up un­til her ill­ness.

She do­nated her body to Anatomy Gifts Reg­istry.

Suzy had a kind and lov­ing heart and will be greatly missed.
