GALENA — Ruth Anna Conley, 103, of Galena, for­merly of In­gle­side, passed away on Satur­day, Aug. 6, 2016 at UM Shore Nurs­ing and Re­hab Cen­ter in Ch­ester­town. She was born on June 4, 1913 in Sand­town, Del., to the late Charles and Bessie Shock­ley Cub­bage.

Mrs. Conley was a grad­u­ate of Cae­sar Rod­ney High School. She was an in­spec­tor for Sal­is­bury Broth­ers, for­merly of Ridgely, re­tir­ing in 1978.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she is pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Ralph “Roe­buck” Conley, and sib­lings Thomas Cub­bage, Wil­liam Cub­bage, El­iz­a­beth Pritch­ett, Mary Ellen Cub­bage, Rebecca Walls, Pearl Conley, Charles Cub­bage, James Al­fred Cub­bage and Ken­neth Cub­bage. Mrs. Conley is sur­vived by sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

A fu­neral ser­vice for Mrs. Conley was held 1 p.m. Thurs­day, Aug. 11 at Flee­gle & Helfen­bein Fu­neral Home, Greens­boro, with a vis­i­ta­tion one hour prior to the ser­vice. In­ter­ment fol­lowed the ser­vice at Church Hill Ceme­tery.
