BOOK SALE, AUG. 27 The an­nual book sale, held by the Friends of the Queen Anne’s County Li­brary, will be at both branches on Satur­day, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be bar­gain books for all ages and read­ing lev­els, in­clud­ing fic­tion, mys­ter­ies, ro­mance, chil­dren’s books, old and rare ti­tles, his­tory, cook­books, sports and bi­ogra­phies, along with DVDs, CDs and talk­ing books.

The costs will be hard­backs, DVDs, au­dio, $1 each; pa­per­backs, 25 cents; chil­dren’s books, 25 cents or 5 for $1. You may fill a bag for $10.

Pro­ceeds from the sale ben­e­fit the li­brary’s pro­grams and services.

THE LOOSE We will have nurs­ery rhymes, songs, move­ment and sto­ries for all those ages 3 to 36 months, with an adult, on Sept. 6.

All those ages 2 to 5, with an adult, will want to be at the li­brary for story time on Wed­nes­days, start­ing Sept. 7 at 10:30 a.m.

LIV­ING Be­gin­ning the last Wed­nes­day of the month, on Aug. 31, we will have a Healthy Green Liv­ing pro­gram at the li­brary, with med­i­ta­tion, taichi and full-be­ing ed­u­ca­tion. Reg­is­tra­tion is re­quired for this pro­gram run­ning from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
