BOOK SALE, AUG. 27 The annual book sale, held by the Friends of the Queen Anne’s County Library, will be at both branches on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be bargain books for all ages and reading levels, including fiction, mysteries, romance, children’s books, old and rare titles, history, cookbooks, sports and biographies, along with DVDs, CDs and talking books.
The costs will be hardbacks, DVDs, audio, $1 each; paperbacks, 25 cents; children’s books, 25 cents or 5 for $1. You may fill a bag for $10.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the library’s programs and services.

THE LOOSE We will have nursery rhymes, songs, movement and stories for all those ages 3 to 36 months, with an adult, on Sept. 6.
All those ages 2 to 5, with an adult, will want to be at the library for story time on Wednesdays, starting Sept. 7 at 10:30 a.m.
••• TECH SESSIONS You must register for our one-on-one tech sessions to be held Aug. 17 and 18 at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. Get individual attention on topics that you want to learn. Call to set up an appointment to fit your schedule.
••• HEALTHY GREEN
LIVING Beginning the last Wednesday of the month, on Aug. 31, we will have a Healthy Green Living program at the library, with meditation, taichi and full-being education. Registration is required for this program running from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
