NON-FICTION BOOK CLUB The non-fiction book club will begin meeting at the library on the last Monday of the month, starting Sept. 26, at 1 p.m. You bring your lunch, and we will provide drinks and dessert.
The September book is “Rose Mary, the Hidden Kennedy Daughter” by Kate Clifford Larson.

FUN IN SEPTEMBER Children’s librarian Miss Jenny will have plenty of fun lined up for young people in September, starting with:
MOTHER GOOSE ON THE LOOSE on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 10:30 a.m. for those youngsters age 3 to 36 months, with an adult. We will have nursery rhymes, songs, movement, puppets and a story, each Tuesday, through Oct. 25.
STORY TIME on Wednesday, Sept. 7, through Oct. 26, at 10:30 a.m. for ages 2 to 5, with an adult. Come in for stories, songs, rhymes and a movement followed by a craft. AFTER SCHOOL SCIENCE: Catapults, for those in grades K-5 on Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Come to learn all about catapults and then make your own!
LEGO GUESS AND WIN, for the same age group as above on Sept. 19, through Sept. 30. Guess how many Lego bricks are in the container each time you come in the library. The closest guess will win a prize.
BOOK SALE Don’t miss the annual Book Sale held by the Friends of the Queen Anne’s County Library, at both branches on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bargain books for all ages and reading levels. Hardbacks and DVDs, $1; paperbacks, 25 cents; children’s books, 25 cents of 5 for $1. Or you can fill a bag for $10.
